Visited today for the first time - great food and service. Cosy restaurant, tables quite close together but not too close. £9.95 for 3 course lunch special with good choice - food was great. Have to agree with other reviews about the loos - it is an old building so you have to work with what you have but the... More

A great restaurant, authentic Italian food, knowledgable and efficient service. Great wine list. Really good value. You'd be mad not to go there!

My first time at Foffano's. Not a great fan of Italian food, but my Wife thought it was worth a try;The staff were excellent, can't praise them enough; the surroundings were pleasant, and the food, very nice- from starters, to main to sweets, everything was brilliant; the only down side was the Gents rest room- you navigate the appalling threadbare... A small restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and cheerful, and we loved the singing in the kitchen. Happy people! Not a huge menu, but plenty of choice, and all prepared and cooked on the premises. We loved it and will return.

we went to Foffano's last Friday. The staff were friendly, but the food is really just average. I ordered Calamari as starter, although it's early bird menu, but there were only 5 rings on the plate, so it works out 50p per ring! my seafood pizza was slightly burnt. a bit disappointed as not as good as previous times.

Stayed overnight in Darlington last Saturday with the family. After reading the TA reviews Foffano's sounded just what we were looking for, an informal eatery with good home cooked food. Greeted by staff as we entered and they seated us promptly although we hadn't made a reservation we were there quite early in the evening. One of the guys had... More

It was a quiet night. . Early evening and l thought that the cost was really good value. Two courses for £11.95 The mussels were delicious and the tiramisu was a good bet to finish with. Well prepared and presented by friendly staff.

Food is okay italian, nothing fantastic - more about quantity than quality. Service is acceptable but not outstanding. The visit just left me feeling it was all okay. Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about.

Couldn't fault our visit to Foffano's - walked in by chance on a trip to Darlington and was so pleasantly surprised. Delicious food and the lunch menu was superb value for money as well as giving you a lot of choice (unlike many set menu's in chain restaurants) The decor was charming and interesting and service excellent. Also child friendly... More

We visited Foffano's after a Saturday afternoon shopping and were not disappointed, we opted for the early bird menu, which was great value for money. The portions were generous especially for the price, the food was fresh well presented and very tasty. We will definitely be going back again to sample different dishes from the a la carte menu.
