Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in this historic Inn & Pub for 2 nights and had a wonderful visit. Our en-suite was very clean and pretty. The bed was comfortable, and I fell asleep right away. Linens and towels were of a high quality. It is within walking...distance to the historic Banbury Cross and the historical area. The Manager was delightful and so helpful in recommending places to see and directions. Sulgrave Manor and Broughton Castle are only a short drive away. Take note of the pretty thatched roof and the cute little stone pigeons on the top of the roof. Charming! I would love to stay here again.More

Stayed here for 1 night and were really happy with it. Staff were really welcoming and friendly, room was a decent size, well appointed and clean. Bed was comfy. Free parking on site. Only slight negative was that the room was a little too hot...for us and we couldn't find any way of turning it down, but some people will find that a positive!More

We had read the reviews and the reviews for The Three Pidgeons were extremely good especially Sunday roast. It looked like the best place in Banbury, however were bitterly dissapointed. We went for lunch on the Sunday after Fathers day so thought it would be...quite and they would have time to give us their full attention. How wrong we were. The service was appaling. The young girl took our order and brought our roast meals we had ordere and . that was it. She didnt ask us if we wanted drinks or if everything was alright. We had ordered a jug of gravy which didnt turn up but was charged for. The food was mediocre but what was unbelievable was that the roast potatoes were cremated. Totally unedible and should never of been served.Rock hard and looked like coal. There was no one to complain to at the time as there were no staff anywhere.More

Sad circumstances brought us here for a one night stay, but our choice of accommodation has been spot on. Convenient location, ample parking, quaint, atmospheric, buzzing public rooms, spacious, comfortable bedroom and en suite and, to cap it all, the staff are absolutely wonderful. From...the initial booking to the reception to our evening meal (good pub food at decent prices), we couldn't have asked for bigger smiles or better service. Thank you, all.More

Nice friendly pub with comfortable rooms, courtyard beer garden (could do with a bit of tidying) good location for a wander in town. Stayed in room 2 and in the morning as my gf was pottering around I heard someone say ‘help me’ ‘help me’...‘help me’ in a very clear voice, I’d say a young lady but couldnt be certain, thought my gf had left her phone on something playing in the background but it was turned off. Turns out the staff hear things all the time!More

Look no further for a spectacular Sunday roast! We were squeezed in at the last minute, friendly staff and a cosy pub atmosphere. We both opted for the three meat roast and it was beyond delicious! The gravy, the yorkshires, the veg, tender meat.. every...bit was delightful. Thanks again ☺️More

We had a one night stand in Banbury. The 3 Pigeons is ideal. The price is good for the excellent accommodation provided. There are plenty of evening eating places in town & for breakfast you won't get any better than Waitrose, a short walk away,...or Wetherspoons for less oney!More

I'd been recommended this place so duly booked it and checked in. Only initial gripe was some slightly too loud 'dad-rock' music playing as the pub itself was empty, but it never became an issue. The room itself was fantastic, with a big, comfortable bed,...a sofa and a desk to work at, with a very nice bathroom. I was unaware it didn't serve breakfast but I'm hardly going to waste away so it wasn't a problem for me, they do leave you some porridge and pain au chocolat if you're peckish at breakfast time.More

We used the back courtyard and this would be fine for wheelchair users. I think the inside would be pretty good too, but would recommend calling them to check. Best
