This is no longer in business having been changed to a nursery for under fives. I have visited it in the past when it was very good.

How sad! This lovely little tea rooms has closed - apparently the separate catering business is continuing so we're getting them to do our 40th wedding anniversary. thanks for all the lovely cakes over the years!
When the Dutch Cottage first opened, I used to go there frequently with friends and was always pleased with the service. However, during the last year or so I have noticed a marked difference between when the Manager is there and when he isn't. When he is there, the service is good and the staff are polite and attentive. When...

We found this cafe as almost the only one open in Chippenham. Friendly staff and decent food with a good atmosphere. Then the owner turned up and the temperature went down by about 40 degrees.
Some hints to him
- if the staff are good at customer service but you're not, leave them to get on with it
- if...

I'm so sorry! That day was one of those we all dread - my car had broken down, I was late for a meeting etc etc. No excuse for appearing discourteous though - our regular customers will confirm this is not the norm but once again apologies if this affected the enjoyment of your visit.

Me and my mum went in for lunch it's a lively cute little place which makes a change from Nero or Starbucks and the cakes were all homemade. The sandwiches were nice however quite pricey for what you got.
Visited this tiny little tea room in chippenham a few days ago. It was a really hot sunny day and we thought we would pop in for something to eat. When we got in there it was lovely and cool and quite compact inside but there was a distinct lack of staff. We had to go into the kitchen to...

We stumbled on this little gem by accident. Hungry and looking for non chain food, we walked in and immediately liked what we saw; a house being used as a simple good fresh food restaurant. Nothing fancy just good sandwiches and pub style (but much better) food at fair prices. Great lunch pick if you are passing through Chippenham.
Great food cooked fresh. Excellent service. A regular venue for good value lunch.
