A long weekend staying at Hillside was made even better by the quality of the restaurant. Between us we sampled all options from the menu and nobody was disappointed. Good wine list as well and all at reasonable cost - and shared with impressive artwork in the dining room and throughout the hotel. More

The restaurant, staff and food at Hillside is unpretentious and most pleasing. I find that the pre-dinner bread served at a restaurant is always a good indicator of the quality of the meal that is to follow - and the bread at Hillside is really delicious! More

The atmosphere in the restaurant was always pleasant and friendly. We felt that the idea of having drinks in the lounge area with other guests and then sitting down for dinner at seven worked extremely well, meeting other guests before dinner made it feel less formal. We stayed at the hotel, dined there each night and were not disappointed. We were very happy with the choices on the menu and wine list. The fixed time for the meal gave a nice buzz in the restaurant which sometimes lacking in hotels. The service, as in the hotel, was impeccable. More
