This is a fish and chip shop which has a cafe area attached, separate from a takeaway area. The decor is basic but the quality of fish is the best I've ever tasted. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple treat of fish and chips. It is the place for a special night out and indeed it... more
Plain and simply - the best fish and chips anywhere. Cod was so fresh and beautifully cooked, lovely old fashioned mushy peas and the chips we just right. They have quite a varied menu considering its a chippy. They have a take-away, which gets very busy, and also a restaurant which seats about 120. Many people do book in advance... more
Is there better place for Fish?!?!!? Dont think so more
The cod and chips have always been excellent and we have never yet had a bone. (Although we have found occasional ones in the Haddock and Plaice.) The staff in the restaurant are friendly. The staff in the takeaway tend to be a little bit the other way and there is no warmth.....apart from the chips! more
