We are, like many others, regular customers at this cafe, which serves traditional Welsh food. They make all the cakes, scones and bara brith themselves, in their own kitchens and even cook the meat themselves, which is from locally reared-livestock. The result is very high quality fare. The menu is traditional Welsh food; home made soup, sandwiches and rolls, Welsh... More

Love the location and atmosphere of this old house! The cakes and scones are very nice. If the staff had been a little more service minded this would be a real winner. Is should be more than just a job to work in a place like this. With the amount of tourists coming through it needs a real Welsh welcome.... More

As we knew it was a busy place we booked a table the day before and specifically asked for a table for just the two of us. We were assured this would happen. When we go there we were asked to sit on a table for 6 with 2 other couples who also did not know each other. I am... More

What a great little place! We stumbled upon it by accident on our way from Betsw Y Coed. The place was small and cozy. The waitresses were very friendly too. They helped us choose which tea to get. We were going to get the #1, 3 and 4 but they suggested just getting the #1 and two extra teas. So... More

Having spent several holidays staying in Betws y Coed we were recommended this tea room by a local whilst on a walk, this year. What a stroke of luck! Lovely tea and scone tasty homemade jam, and quaint setting, staff are friendly and service efficient. With reference to the American visitors - what could they possibly understand about British tradition... More

After reading all of the glowing reviews we made sure we stopped here for lunch. The interior is very cozy (although there were cobwebs by my husband's head) and well decorated with old world charm. I had tea and a scone with cream (seemed like it came out of a can). I thought nearly 5 pounds was a bit much.... More

This tearoom looks chocolate box perfect from the outside but our overall experience was less so. The staff were not friendly at all and the atmosphere was dead despite there being a few occupied tables. There are no photos allowed inside but when the waitress was asked why she didn't know! The food was good but not good enough to... More

I have previously stopped here during a short break to the area (from South Wales) and was very impressed with the quality of the food, the location and the friendliness of the staff. So, on a working visit to Conwy with a work colleague, we stopped for a late lunch on the return journey. We both had fantasic food and... More
