We decided to have a chippy take out, our first in 3 months. Had two meals at a cost of £15, what a total waste of money. The chips were tasteless and the cod was all batter with very little fish that was like rubber....All in all very disappointed.More
Stopped off at The Vines today, it was our first visit. The food was beautiful, generous portions & varied menu. The staff so friendly and accommodating and the surroundings modern, warm and welcoming. The owner Brenda is a lovely lady. We will certainly be recommending...The Vines and will be back.More
We had a lovely meal! Declan looked after us & went the extra mile to ensure our enjoyment. I would certainly recommend this restaurant. 🙂
Passing through and we we’re getting hungry. Stopped for take away. Had a few minutes wait so we checked out the antique store down the street. When we returned our food was ready and the sweet owner offered us a table. “You can’t eat in...the car”. Food was great, best tartar sauce according to my husband. Great service. I highly recommend.More
Stopped here for an full Ulster fry and I have to say it certainly was a lovely fry up. Owners were there beautiful couple so helpful and friendly. Service was excellent will certainly call again.
The restaurant and chef were very flexible for our unique arrangement to bring food to our house for a wedding celebration. They brought everything we needed for food and treats. We can't wait to visit again! The lentil soup was delicious and everyone loved the...chicken curry as well.More
The staff were so lovely and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was so fresh and lovely. Really enjoyed my dinner here compliments to the chef!
Came here for the first time tonight with friends, the food was amazing in both presentation & taste. Portion sizes were so generous, so much so I couldn’t finish my food even though it tasted beautiful! I had a 3 course meal & all of...the courses were phenomenal, I would definitely come back again. Massive compliments to the chef!More
Will definitely be back, food exceeded all expectations, portions were unbelievably good there was enough food to go around, went with my 2 friends and 15 month old daughter and there was something for everyone and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Hats of to the...chef we have 0 complaints.More
This is not our first visit to The Vines and we have had several meals there. However, the meal we had on Tuesday was fantastic. Our waiter a very pleasant young guy ( Jayden) offered us menus whilst sorting out some wine and water for...us. There was also an optional 4 course Christmas Menu at around £23 - £24. We went instead for Gammon, Garlic Fries and Chicken Tower which came with Tobacco Onions, Peppercorn Sauce and a tasty piece of chicken, instead of Champ I switched to chunky chips! These were, I have to say the best I have ever had in Northern Ireland. Brenda ( The Owner) welcomed us and spent time chatting with us, a truly lovely lady. For desserts we had Sticky Toffee Pudding one with a large bowl of Freshly made Custard and mine with a scoop of Ice Cream. This Restaurant is a fairly informal relaxed dining style and was fairly busy , even on a wet and windy cold Tuesday early evening. I was so impressed with the lovely chips and of course the meal, I chose to thank the Chef ( Pamela) for a memorable meal. We certainly will be back and very soon....Thankyou The Vines StaffMore
We frequented The Vines yet again and had the most enjoyable experience. Myself, my mother and 3 children arrived and were seated immediately in homely, and modern surroundings. The staff were most attentive and i even ordered something that wasn't on the menu which was catered...for with no reservations. My pasta dish was absolutely delicious and i asked for a spicy sauce which was perfection and a huge portion to boot. My mother opted for the traditional turkey and ham dinner which was melt in the mouth and served piping hot - which is how she really loves it. My oldest daughter (age 11) opted for a meal from the main menu and was able to get a childs portion of this - which was great as she preferred this option. Everyone got more than enough to eat and then there was desserts................ I didn't believe i could manage to tackle a dessert but the lady owner brought out a HUGE portion for my mother - pavlova - which was so light and a perfect finish to the meal with fresh fruits that i coulnd't resist helping her to finish. My 3 children were so delighted with thier ice cream desserts which consisted of fresh fruits and maltesers and a yummy sauce drizzled all over - again i had to sample. All this with attentive and friendly staff and so reasonably priced - we will definitely be back. Highly recommended to everyone - a must visit!!!More
Thank you so much for your review Sandra, I'm delighted you enjoyed your food and day out. We hope to see you again soon :)
Very tasty food and plenty of it. Friendly staff and fairly priced menu. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again
We went for the first time on a Friday lunchtime. It wasn't particularly busy. My wife ordered the lasagna with which she was very happy and which she felt was homemade. I ordered the fish and chips which was fine enough, and was two pieces...of battered fish. One piece tasted like it had been reheated, whilst the other felt more freshly cooked. It was delivered much too quickly to be fresh. It tasted fine though. Overall though it was a decent meal. The manager(?) was the server and he was very friendly and polite. The lunch menu was somewhat limited but I accept that may be determined by demand. We are happy to go there again.More
My partner and I had heard great things about this quaint little place from quite a few people and we weren’t disappointed. We got seated upon arrival by a lovely waitress called Megan, who looked after us well during our time here. We had fully...loaded potatoe skins for starters, my partner had mushrooms cheese and bacon with white sauce, served with a mixed salad, I left out the bacon as I don’t eat red meat, when these arrived I was blown away by how well presented they where, and the flavours where amazing, would definitely recommend this starter to everyone. For the main course we both had chicken served on a bed of creamy champ, topped with Tabacco onions, served with a pepper sauce, we had garlic chips and salt and chilli chips for our sides. The portion sizes were amazing, so much so I couldn’t Finnish mine. We sent compliments to the chef for a truly mouth watering meal. Anyone looking for great customer service, a mouth watering meal and a friendly atmosphere should definitely give this place a try, we will be returning again soon, I’d have no hesitation in rating our experience here a 10/10More
