We had lunch twice at Il Fondaccio as the pizza was so good. Both times we sat outside in the square watching the world go by. All the different pizzas we had were lovely, especially the calabrese. We loved the whole of Castelina in Chianti, and would highly recommend it. more

Always open - (well, chiuso Monday) the antipasti table satisfies immediately - pizza very good.. Best tho is the staff- so patient with all of us inglese trying out our Italian. Only down side- the only Italians you will see in this restaurant are the waiters - not the diners... more

At the risk of sounding cliche, it was the best pizza my wife and I ever had! The service was wonderful - very patient with our rookie Italian. The antipasti were also great... and the limoncello and grappa didn't hurt a bit! more
