Excellent restaurant in Lecce with lovely outdoor seating, very good food and service. Loved the risotto second plate and the helpful service choosing wine.
This restaurant, like so many in Lecce is tucked away in a little side street, it's very classy with an extensive outside seating area. Initially the staff seemed a bit stuck up, but in fairness they did lighten up. Food was varied and very much of the region with an extensive wine list boasting some great local reds. Maybe a... More
We never dine in the same restaurant twice when traveling, but we did at La Torre! The food was excellent and the staff was even better. When we came back the second night, the waiter remembered what wine we had, so we did not have to look look it up on the wine list. I would come back to Lecce... More
We ate there our first night in Lecce on the recommendation of the folk who run the apartments we were staying in. Good seafood/pasta dishes with light, slightly chilled red wine which we found to be a quite commonly chosen combination in Calabria/Puglia, and delicious.
The maitre d' here is gorgeous - he reserved a special table for me and remembered us days later when we came back to eat . Service was superb and starters were sublime , atmosphere fantastic - highly recommended ...
My wife had selected this restaurant out as one to try and during an early evening stroll around Lecce we decided to reserve a table, after checking with Angelo the head waiter we were told we could have an outside table. So after wandering around a bit more we went back and were greeted like old friends and shown to... More
We noticed a remark about this restaurant that you should watch you bill when received. Well yes we agree certainly a couple of alterations had to be made to the quoted prices however as far as ambience, service and the quality, it was very good with an excellent choice of local wines.
It was a warm evening and a nice opportunity to dine outside. It was very busy but service was good. My octopus starter was good but a bit rich. The fish though was excellent and well complimented by the recommended wine. Good bread as well.
I'm living in Lecce and that's one of my favorite places. I went many times and the pizza is one of the best in the city. The enviorment is quiet and nice, mainly when you eat in the terrace in the summer. Highly recommended place!
The orecchiette with tomato and cheese although excellent was too much starter for an old man, especially since the home baked bread was irrestible. The bufalo di kaitifi starter - mozzarella with angel hair style greek pastry was also superb. My four cheese pizza was excellent and featured a powerful gorgonzola. Wines included a superb primitivo di maturato for 16... More
