As a part of a hen party of 22 we ate at The Olive Grove on Saturday 31st October and we were delighted with everything! The staff were so accommodating, we had booked the private room upstairs which worked out really well, the food was great, everyone really enjoyed the night. I definitely recommend The Olive Grove. more

We dined here last Saturday evening(Oct 10th)the location and staff are nice but we found the menu boring and expensive(Most starters 8.50..and nothing special)Mains around 27.50 and read like a lunch menu, the cheaper alternative are burgers,meatballs or.. salad?! (Thats all basically) sides are extra I had the sea bass which was greasy and overdone.Its a pity as the owners... more

Stumbled upon this restaurant on a recent weekend break in Athlone & aren't we glad we did. We arrived with no reservation and staff were quick to get us a table (outside as the weather was lovely & warm). The service, food, surroundings & staff were great. We will be back. more

Anthony, at The Bastion suggested we get lunch here. The Olive Grove is in a great location (right along the River Shannon). We had a very good meal and enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was great, had a camberet starter and a chicken main course, both courses really tasty. The restaurant was 70% full on a saturday but mostly women. Didn't need reservation on a busy Friday evening, staff very welcoming. Menu varied, food well cooked and service prompt and attentive without being too intrusive. more
