My wife and I were here in May '09 and had a blast. We had heard about it being full of tourists but when we visited both locals and tourists were there. We chatted up some locals and the next thing we know the owner, Theresa, was sitting down talking the night away with us. When they realized we were... more

I was in Ireland for 2 weeks (5/16-5/29) O'Connors Pub was the first place that we ate out. The food, service, atmosphere, people, local musicians playing made it a true traditional Irish adventure. I give it my highest recomendation. more

We tried this pub after trying another local pub and we noticed right away that we were surrounded by other tourists, which I guess you should expect, but to get the real pub experience you won't get it here. We did enjoy our meal here and the service was great, but don't go here if you want to mix with... more

Large pub it had the air of someplace that would get filled up fast by a tour bus. Fortunately we arrived with a smaller tour. Food was quick and delicious, chowder, salad and stew were all quite good. Service was okay, bit abrupt. Atmosphere was nice, traditional pub feel but also felt touristy at the same time. Nice stop but... more

My sister and I stopped here after visiting the Cliffs of Moher, and we were so happy we did. It's a decent sized pub, with lots of atmosphere, and there were a lot of locals there, which we took as a good sign. I had the beef and guiness stew and my sister had fish and chips, both of which... more

I can't fault this place, myself and my husband went on the first night of a weekend spent camping at a nearby site (Nagle's) as it was within walking distance, meaning we could both have a pint or ten and not worry about leaving a car at the pub. We had a bite to eat on that first night, he... more

We had lunch on Saturday afternoon, as we had read here and had other recommendations. Not too full and there were plenty of staff. The fish was very fresh, light and fluffy - real melt in your mouth and the chips and salad were tasty too. I had a Prawn Cocktail which was tasty and filling. Both were very well... more

Because we had small children with us we were referred to O'Connor's for dinner. We ate there both nights we were in Doolin! The best fish & chips I've ever had - and I've sampled them in every Irish & British town I've been in! The fresh steamed mussels arrive in a heaping dish and the Irish stew is hearty.... more
