As the more casual sister establishment of a couple of other Canberra restaurants we had high expectations of Sabayon for a relaxed mid-week meal. Unfortunately our meals were neither moderately priced nor particularly well done. In name the little sister of Courgette but I have always found myself with fonder memories of Sabayon. In a nutshell Courgette tries too hard and fails to deliver but the more relaxed approach of Sabayon exceeds its own expectations. more

Sabayon has to be one of the highlights of dinning in Canberra (from a locals perspective) - the restaurant itself has clean lines, offering a contemporary but relaxed setting for lunch or dinner. The service is knowledgeable and there when you need it. But the real star here is the food - skilfully prepared with great flavour combinations. more

Perfect portion, lightly seasoned and cooked. Food wasnt expensive and dessert was heaven.... service was outstanding, make sure to try the veal tenderloin hmmmm.... more
