We loved this place - we had the Vegetarian 6 course menu and loved every bite! Book it! more
degustation or a la carte, consistent meals/service over the years, "signature" duck is to die for and the unforgetable delicious french goat cheese tart, smooth and friendly waiter rare in comparison to other fine dining establishments (ie. dine by Peter Gordon please note), long live the french cafe! more

Had the most beautifully balanced 3 course meal in a long time! Truely world class cuisine, great wine list and desserts to die for. Thank Goodness Auckland has restaurant of this calibre. Waiting staff are polite, attentive and not intrusive. A MUST dine for Auckland's foodies,no doubt about it. more

This is an excellent restaurant, food is amazing and the cook book is a great asset if you love cooking. Service is superb, I would just go to New Zealand to eat at the French Cafe. I highly recommend this one to anybody, I am fuzzy about food and this restaurant is one of my best. more
We visited the French Cafe on our first night in Auckland. The food and the setting were fantatastic and the staff went to great lengths to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Sure it was expensive but well worth it and a big thanks to Rob who reccomended some wineries for us to try during our stay! more
