By chance I was offered a table overlooking the kitchen, always interesting; the service was excellent, my food and wine were good (though I'd have preferred a hot plate for hot food), would I go there again: yes. In my view it was good value for money at 120 zloty per person including wine. more

Very poor food, average service and "interesting" interior. If you like good Polish food, an average Zajazd by the road in Poland will provide you with better stuff than "U Kucharzy". The whole place is a marketing trick. more

A really nice restaurant is the Kucharzy, which has an interesting interior - make sure you get a table with view on the open kitchen if you're in a smaller group, life piano music (at least on Sunday it was), friendly waiters and good polish food. We went on a Saturday night in April. It was packed. I think we may have only gotten in through our concierge. It was a young, hip crowd. The restaurant is in an old commercial kitchen -- tile walls, random sinks, etc. My husband said the steak tartar was the best ever. The other food was all excellent as well.... more

I've been to this restaurant several times and have not been disappointed. The food is good on the pricey end but worth it. Typical Polish food done with class and you can't beat the ambiance. An allusion to the bygone days of Communism and milk bars. more
