For dinner, we decided on Alabárdos - Országház utca 2, just a block from the hotel. It was certainly upscale & turned out well. The staff was a bit stiff & pretentious & yet they shake your hand when you leave. 6900 Ft for wine & similar for food. Typical high-end food sizes too. more

Enjoyed two delicious meals in Alabardos. Attentive service and mercifully free from Gypsy minstrels. Food is international with a a Hungarian twist and some modernised Hungarian classics. A very upscale place. Small portions. You need more than 1 coarse. Great wine list. Reservations a must, even if not busy. They will seat you but not in main room. Staff attentive and polite. Be prepared to spend some money and you will enjoy the evening more. Menu a bit obscure, not good for selective eaters. more
