We spent 5 days in Washington over Christmas and had dinner twice at Zaytinya. This alone should say it all. We loved it! The food was scrumptious: every bite was a symphony of aromas, an exotic experience, a unique piece of heaven! Besides the food, sitting by the fireplace and watching the snow outside really made our romantic Christmas vacation... more

We picked this place mostly becuase of all the positive reviews and becasue it was within 2 minutes walk from our hotel. If you never tried tapas before and must do it while in DC, go here. Otherwise, skip. The food is good but not great. They serve blend of lebanese, turkish and greek cuisine which results in some interesting... more

I recently visited Zaytinya with a few girlfriends and my fiance. I really enjoyed trying all of the different appetizers and everything was delicious. It's a great place for lunch and we were seated quickly. We ladies were very satisfied with sharing different plates, but my fiance was still hungry when we left. He is a really man and needs... more

Enjoyed the food. Service so so - never around when we needed something. Go for the early reservations - toward the end of the meal the dining room was really loud and crowded. Difficult to move about the front entrance with so many people. more

Zaytinya specializes in middle eastern small plates, or mezze. We ordered several to share; we had goat cheese wrapped around sun dried tomatoes, rolled in black pepper and wrapped in grape leaves, a trio of spreads with warm pita bread that continued to arrive fresh at our table, and a selection of meat and seafood dishes that I can’t remember--aside... more

This restaurant is loud and vibrant, so not the place to go for quiet romance. The food was out of this world--a fusion of Turkish, Lebanese, and Greek. They have some entrees, but many small plates. We stuck with the small plates (which are actually quite generously sized) and had 4 for two people and split a full desert, which... more

I'm usually not a fan of tapas or mezze, but I really enjoyed Zaytinya. The food was excellent and it has a great atmosphere. I will definitely go back! more

This is a great place for a casual tapas dinner. Yes, many there are dressed to the nines but you don't have to. It is tapas style Mediterranean fare. Very good wine selection and the food is excellent. Highly recommend it for both meat eaters and veggies. more

A fun must-try located in Chinatown neighborhood. Large restaurant with a very busy bar scene at happy hour. However the patio is nice and quiet :) The greek influenced tapas from Chef Mike Izabella (Top Chef contestant on BRAVO Fall of '09) are fabulous but after ordering many it can get a bit pricey, however the pricing is comparable for... more
