Had the tasting menu, 10 or 11 very small plates followed by appetizer and main course (which was toast goat). Most of the small plates were excellent. Particularly liked the salmon sashimi, fig, and stuffed date. The goat was quite rich after all the previous courses, but was served with some interesting sauces. Service, provided by multiple waitresses, was gracious.... more

there are not enough words to describe the chef's tasting menu, small plate after small plate each taste was so defined yet not overdone...keep in mind this was one year ago today and I still remember the main course: melt in your mouth baby goat accompanied by tzatziki and warm pita. I wish I could afford to eat here at... more

While most Komi reviews appropriately focus on food (which is great), I want to say a couple of things about the pairing of wine to food. The wine itself is great--well matched and vineyards I was unfamiliar with. At the same time, Komi is anything but generous when it comes to the pouring of wine. A five glass pairing with... more

I couldn’t believe the flavors with each dish. We ordered the degustazione menu and were overwhelmed with the food! The wine pairing was spot on. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant if you want to shell out big bucks but it was worth it. The service was very attentive and professional. more

I took my parents out to Komi for dinner and the three of us loved the restaurant. We love Greek food, but this restaurant is, by far, our favorite. This is more "high end" Greek cuisine, rather than your typical gyro, spanikopita, etc. type of place -- it is a fine dining experience. We had a wonderful server who gave... more

When a restaurant makes it to number one on the Washingtonian's Top 100 list, some of us have a hard time saying no. Sure, Komi costs an arm and a leg. Sure, the chef is a self-taught thirty-year-old who never apprenticed under a Michelin-star chef. Sure, Greek cuisine isn't on anyone's list of the top gastronomic achievements of the last... more

My wife and I just got back from a weekend trip to Washington DC. One of the restaurants we dined at was Komi, especially because of the great reviews in TripAdvisor and other websites. Komi is extremely expensive and worth every penny. We had the premier fixed menu with wine pairings for a total of $193 per preson without tax... more

We went for a special dinner to celebrate good news. My husband and I were very aware of the costs and were thrilled to have gotten a reservation. Overall review = extremely under-whelmed. Final Bill = 2 people with the basic tasting menu, bottle of wine, tax, tip = $305 Pros = the food we were served was delicious (except... more

I live in California and have been to several good restaurants in Napa. On our last trip to DC, I have researched for some good places to dine and found Komi. I made reservation about 2 months ahead. It took numerous emails and phone calls in getting a reservation. My wife and I had the wine parings which we were... more
