Nice and close to the KOA Santa Cruz/Monterey Campground. Great staff and location. Our waiter had a great sense of humor as well.
Our regular chinoise was jammed to the gills, so The Lovely and i clambered into the car and went wandering in a nearby shopping center and way the hell off in the corner, behind some other stuff was Uncle Kwok's. We didn't even know it was there! Looked in the window, and there was this clean looking, nicely laid out,... More
I live in Aptos and unfortunately this place is as good as it gets...The Wonton soup is good, but many of the other entrees are just so-so. When we are craving Chinese food, this is the place we choose, as the other choices are not any better. In fact others are worse. To summarize, just okay.
Always a favorite for small or large groups, 'cause the service is quick, efficient and tongue in cheek funny. Their menu is typical szechwan dishes and all are good to very good. To me, nothing on the menu is exceptional or stands out in particular, but it's all very tasty and consistently good. Servers have been there a long time... More
Whenever we don't feel like cooking, we call up Uncle Kwok's and have dinner within the hour. Food is good and service is quick. Can't speak for the dining-in option, but take-out is definitely a win.
I have either dined or obtained take out for the past 10 years. Initial years of visiting proved to be very good and enjoyable. Recently I have been dissapointed in the quality and presentations of their dishes. My recent take out this past March, which consisted of Kung Pao Chicken and Szechwan beef were a bit salty and the sauce... More
Love this for a quick lunch! We call in from the office and go and pick up! Fast and yummy!
What a great discovery and surprise! We were on our motorcycle trying to find a place close to our campground and we stumbled into this little strip mall. There was Uncle Kwok's waaay at the far end of the mall. We ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice and chow mein. All of it was fresh and delicious. The chick had... More
We were looking for a Chinese restaurant in the area and found this location on our GPS! It is a store-front restaurant hidden away in a small strip-mall. Not THAT easy to find! It was worth the trouble. Inside, we found a near-elegant restaurant with waiters/waitresses in tuxedo-like wear. The menu - like most Chinese restaurants - was extensive with... More
Our fave was closed so we ordered the same or similar items at Kwok and every item was not close to as good. Bland at best. Fried rice was soggy and missing ingredients. Lemon chicken was terrible. Egg Fu yung awful. Not eating there again.
