wow were we pleased with this place, we got there just in time befor the rush. Food was good, not great, service was prompt and friendly, though waiter didn't tell me the specials. everyone was nice. Clam chowder was very good, but the cup was very small!!! prices were ok. The atmosphere made it worth it. I sat and watched fisherman, pelicans diving, sea lions swimming and boats going by. Your up on the pier over... more
Mediocre food, poor service (one server to cover entire restaurant), a view of the parking lot -- not the water. Won't go back. more

Since I was 15 my family has been going to Fat Cat's for breakfast on the last day of our vacation whenever we go to Avila. I absolutely love this place. There breakfast is amazing , check out there specials one time I got awesome fish tacos, another time lobster omelette with hollandaise sauce. Would recommend this place to anyone... more
Right on Avila Bay, fisherman's hangout. Used to seem a bit shady, but seems to have gotten more family friendly. more
Was at AVILA Beach in Dec. to photograph someone suggested FAT CATS for breakfast! Huge portions! Excellent omelets, pancakes, the works and plenty of coffee and hot cocoa !! Small, not a lot of seating but the views are great ! Servers were friendly and quick !! Like Breakfast ? this is GREAT !! Wish I had a breakfast place... more
