We live in Destin, Florida, on the Gulf and drive over to Apalachicola once a year for the atmosphere and oysters. In the past we have ALWAYS eaten at Boss Oysters with great satisfaction and for the life of me I can not reason why we decided on Caroline's this year. We were there on a Friday at 1:30 PM... more
We spent 3 nights in Apalachicola and ate here, Boss's(3) and The Owl Cafe(far and away #1). Caroline's ranks #2 of those for us. We lean more to interesting food preparation, nice sauces, a good wine list and a nice atmosphere. Most restaurants in Apalachicola give you very fresh fish, shrimp and oysters but I would rate the preparation and... more
We had dinner and breakfast here. Both meals were very reasonably priced and both were very good. For breakfast we had biscuits and gravy and pancakes that were as big as frisbees. The fried flounder at dinner was also very good. The prices were great. The view was awesome. more

In fact, we enjoyed our breakfast so much (beware, if you order the pancakes, they are huge!), we decided to return later in the week for dinner. Excellent grouper.... more
A small group of us ate at Caroline's in late August and loved it! Great food, good prices and BEAUTIFUL view. Love it and will be back. Keep up the good work! more
5 of us had a delightful time for Sunday brunch. The bloody Mary's were awesome, the biscuits yummy and we all had a wonderful time with a great view. Will return! more
We went with friends, Sunday evening over the Memorial Day weekend, to Caroline's Dining on the River. This is a beautiful Riverfront restaurant located at the charming Apalachicola River Inn. We heard that the chef had presented a new evening menu (which by the way is on their web site) and it was Outstanding! My husband and I both chose... more
My husband and I choose to travel to Apalachicola to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary the second week in June. We have visited this unique town may times in the past. We are water seekers and for mini vacations that is our first criteria, followed by fresh seafood and peaceful surroundings. We stayed on the banks of the Apalachicola river... more
We were hesitant to eat here because most of the reviews were either mixed or pertained to breakfast and we were left with the impression that the menu was more expensive than we desired. We decided to try it for lunch. Upon entering we were struck immediately with the wonderful decor. Most of the tables overlook the water (all the... more
