Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had stopped here for lunch on one of the days we were in Marrakech. The food is relatively cheaper than other nearby places and the place is clean. The service is good and the drinks are nice. We ordered the tagine which lacked any...real flavor but the couscous was tasty and my son enjoyed his veg soup. The toilets are clean and they have plenty of seating both outside and indoors. The decoration is tasteful.More

We, four of us, had dinner at this restaurant this evening. A combination of everything including desert. Good taste. Quick service. Reasonable prices as compared to similar ones in the vicinity. Excellent value for money.

My partner has just spent the last 12 hours vomiting with diarrhoea and is now lying in bed in a cold sweat and is suffering crippling stomach cramps.. No joke! This place is a dump and must be avoided. They didn’t even offer us our...change - they are thieves! A disgusting pit, they should be ashamed.of themselves and closed down. We have had to cancel a 1400 dirham trip to the desert too thanks to your so called ‘chef’. Unsanitary, salmonella filled dump! (Written in real time)More

Slow service to start with, but great food to finish. Had great dining experience here and would go again if I had the chance.

Lovely roof top terrace to have a drink or food and watch over the action at Jemaa el-Fnaa. Well priced considering the location and friendly staff.

The only good thing about the restaurant is the fact you have a chair and a view on the square.. Food was horrible, service non-existing, most unfriendly waiter (et alors guy) ever, the toilets were swamped with hungry cats for some strange reason?! If you...don’t want to be sick for the remaining of your visit, don’t go there..More

The waiter gave us a paper and pen to write the order ourselve. The pizza wasn't anything special. Then we realised that there was a lot of plastic in the pizza. We told the waitress, he just took it and left us there. We left...without paying. Don't eat pizza there.More

Strategically located at one of the corners of Jamaa El Fna Square With a rooftop terrace and a front , (four steps up from street level) terrace where we had the chance to get the very front counter and enjoy the scene in front of...us as well as the restaurant's good food : Tajins , Pastillas , soups and Moroccan salad . Unlike the neighboring flashy restaurants (Zeitoun and Marrakchi) - the Chegrouni is not pretentious , and their traditional dishes are very tasty and priced very, very reasonably : We have dined here there times during our 5 days stay in Marrakech !! Service was quick, efficient and friendly , and that's why we highly recommend it. We shall be back when again in Marrakech .More

We stayed for four nights in Marrakech and we came there threetimes! We like the cooking of Morroco (Couscous, Tajine, Harira,...). And there we've found what we were looking for. A nice, authentic restaurant with delicious, fresh prepaired meal and without any "tourism-traps". It was...a great pleasure for us to be hosts there.More

We had no expectations but were pleasantly surprised. Small roof terrace and low prices. My chicken and almond tagine was the best thing l ate in Marrakech. I may have got lucky. No beer or wine served.

It has a nice terrace from where you can see the square and listen to the calling of the mosque right in front. You can also have a pretty decent meal (the problem usually is getting a table, if you go at the busiest time).

I’ve been there 2,3 times and I enjoyed the food + view + escaping the crowd on the terrace. I recommend it if you are looking for cheap but fairly good food. I personally love the fact that I can simply look over the crowded...people from above and simply relax and enjoy the peaceful moment with a good coup of Moroccan mint tea.More
