We ate at all the best known restaurants whilst we were in Marrakech and this was definitely the best food. The restaurant is modern and is in the new town, so it is not as atmospheric as others which are in the medina. However, the food was fabulous and should be on your list if you are ever in Marrakech. more

So happy to finally taste some really well flavored Moroccan dishes in Marrakech! I like Moroccan food but am often disappointed by the lack in flavors. I know there is so much more than you can find in most restaurants and it's quite different from food prepared at home. The restaurant is nicely decorated in soft tones and lightning, peaceful... more

I had read mixed reviews, and in fact the owner of our riad had heard some negative feedback from recent guests (after recommending the restaurant), but we decided to give it a try. The assortment of Moroccan salads appetizer is amazing -- you get something like 12 little dishes with various preparations (warning for vegetarians, one of them is liver,... more

My family and I spent five days in Marrakesh and tried various dining options: the food stalls at the Jemaa el Fna, Chegrouni's, Cafe Etoile etc. While the food at al fassia was okay, it came at quadruple the price. The service was "efficient" - no smiles among the restaurant staff - very much in contrast to what we experienced... more

A class act, with some of the best traditonal Morrocan food in town, excellent service, in a relaxed non-tourist atmosphere. Even the locals eat here ! more

Recommended by all the critics this female run restaurant has had rave reviews. The interior is not overtly Moroccan but very pleasant with gentle lighting and walls painted alternately dark red and cream. I did feel howver that the tables were very close together, throughout our meal the waitress' rear end was presented to us as she squeezed past to... more

It's such a shame that what is probably the best kitchen in Marrakech (salads to die for, divine cousous and tagines) gets seriously let down by front of house service. Wait staff border on the rude. We had to ask twice for aperitis and the food - when it finally arrived - was just plonked down in front of us.... more

First, you go here for the food, like a pilgrimage or something. You're not here to be wowed by fancy decor, or fawned over by jacketed toady waiters. The decor is quite lovely, and the service more decent than some folks indicate, but that's not why you're there. Morocco is a country with wonderful ingredients, and millennia of tradition with... more
