I have dined a lot in the Sol e Luna and the pizza's where great. No doubt the best international restaurant in Kigali (if not in the whole of Rwanda). Even in Europe, not all Italian restaurants can deliver the same taste as the Sol e Luna. Not easy to reach and in the week-end very busy (most westerners) but... more
Kenya Airways inflight magazine quotes the pizzas here as one of East Africa's best. The reviewer obviously hasn't eaten a pizza in Nairobi. Sure Sol e Luna has a huge variety of pizzas but if they come with the powdery, processed-tasting cheese then NO THANK YOU! Seriously, there is nothing great to this place. more
If Sol e Luna existed in London or New York, I would still be singing its praises! I agree totally with the other reviews, service is very slow (we had to wait over an hour for our food). The pizzas are very good, and the owner is very nice. Sometimes it takes a bit too long to get the food, but it always tastes nice. The lunch buffet has a big variety of dishes and it all tastes great. If you’re lucky, they’ll have their home-made bread for lunch as well. For desert, try the chocolate ice cream... more
By far Sol e Luna has the best pizza in Rwanda. Delicious toppings, not too greasy, and terrific views. That said, you may have to wait a solid 30 minutes to even get a menu, an hour to get your food, and another hour for the check. But, outside of Heaven, that's Rwanda. more
I have never seen so many pizza options in my life. The vegetarian one with goat cheese is my fave, though. more
