All ex-pat life is here. The shady security types (bullnecks, shaven heads, bling bracelets, tattoos) in the corner; NGOs (wispy beards & man bags for the boys, droopy skirts & ethnic bracelets for the girls); business men (portly, sweaty, serious) and a few other odds and sods (us). The sandwiches are great, also the more substantial meals. It's scrupulously clean.... more

A great place to have breakfast in the morning and they sell British newspapers outside. They do a good chocolate croissant, coffee and the smoothies are also recommended when you need a vitamin boost. Good place to meet friends for breakfast or wake up slowly. Also does lunch but no dinner. more

I would describe this cafe/restaurant as the perfect oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Freetown. The venue is spacious and air conditioned and all the staff are very friendly. The menu was great whether for breakfast (they do a great british fry up!) snacks, freshly made sandwiches and wraps, pizza, Lebanese dishes to daily special dishes on... more

Crown Bakery at [--] is a great place for freshly cooked delicious breakfast and lunch (it's closed in the evening). They have daily specials at 50,000 Leones @ UK£9 like fresh cooked tiger prawns marinated in a wonderful sauce with rice.
