The Brookville Hotel restaurant is a Must on your itinerary when in Abilene. I concur with 'Pinkpackrat's description of the food and service. It's all excellent. On a trip through Abilene in July 2006, we stopped for a take out dinner as we were too late to be seated. The chicken was excellent as were the cole slaw and bisquits. I believe the potatoes were instant - or tasted like that - so that was a surprise. Maybe they ran out of real ones? It is... more

A meal at the Brookville Hotel is like a trip back in time to 19th century cattle drive days, both in terms of the decor, family style service, and the food.
