I found the food in Hanoi a bit hit and miss, this was probably the best restaurant overall. The restaurant is in a old colonial house, you can eat in the small garden/courtyard and the interior decor is also very pleasant with a number of interesting photographs and curios. Food was good and the service was excellent. more

The restaurant is an average place, nothing that special, Hanoi does not have many impressive Vietnamese restaurants, except for the Quan an ngon restaurant, that is a few meters from the Indochina and the Quan Sen – Ho Tay that is on the north part of the west lake. The price is fare. more

Had a really nice dinner here. The building is a restored colonial on a quiet street. We had clay pot fish and a barbequed pork and both were tender and delicious. more

This restaurant just out of the old quarter of Hanoi is a welcome respite from the chaos of Hanoi. It has a delightful setting in an old French building. The waiters are in tradition al dress and the menu is extensive. Prices were about $US4-6 per serve. Well worth a visit more

One of the top 3 meals we enjoyed while visiting VIetnam. Most of the meals we had were boring and just not very enjoyable. Indochine was a pleasant surprise! Everything we had there was delicious. Absolutely nothing to do with the Indochine/Cochine chain of restaurants in SEAsia. Wonderful gem of a restaurant in an old French colonial courtyard house. Vietnamese/French fusion that was simply divine. The best lemon chicken, orange catfish, rice spring rolls and sugar cane shrimp I had in Hanoi. The loveliest service too. more
