Definitely our favourite place in Hanoi - really fantastic service, couldn't believe it! Food bit pricey (ca. 75,000 for a main), but fantastic atmosphere, lovely building too. They also have Happy Hour between 4pm and 6pm with half price drinks. They have 5 floors, with a Bamboo Bar at the top, a gallery on 4, business entertaining on 3 and... more

The food was ok, but since the money is used to help young people, it's money well spent. more

We had the pleasure of eating at KOTO twice in our recent holiday in Vietnam. We visited KOTO with much anticipation, are were not disappointed. We were escorted to the 3rd floor, where we were seated in the balcony where there was no other diners at all. Private dining and our own private attendant (OK slow night!). We ordered a... more

Koto runs an evening cooking class at its training centre a long distance away from the cafe. The cost of the lesson was reasonable, however the cafe no longer provides a free bus service to the training venue so a taxi there and back can cost 3 times more than the class. In the end that was not good value more

A restaurant that trains street kids for the range of duties normally required in a restaurant. Supported by AusAID and others. Staff very enthusiastic and friendly, food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A definite must eat at in Hanoi. more

I went to KOTO after arriving back in Hanoi on the overnight train from Sapa, and it was a great way to start the day. The food is great, the service is attentive. And because of the cause it supports, you can't help but feel good about the place. Loved it! more

We stopped in at this restaurant for a coffee after a visit to the temple of literature. We were really impressed with the concept, the atmosphere and the menu looked good. But, when we received the bill we noticed a warning about taxis outside the restaurant overcharging customers, and it recommended that you asks staff to arrange a taxi for... more

We had lunch at Koto after our visit to the Temple of Literature. Although only tourists seem to eat here, the menu was a great mix of European and Vietnamese cuisine. All four of us really enjoyed the experience. The staff (young men and women) really go out of their way to help.....they provided my husband with 3 different kinds of chili... more

KOTO is right across the street from the Temple of Literature. It is a fantastic place to enjoy lunch, dinner, or drinks before or after visiting the Temple. The restaurant is really clean, the food is fresh and delicious, the service was excellent. To top it all off... it is also a great cause! It has taken at risk kids... more
