it is a nice restaurant located downtown, As if you are in al hussein in cairo Egyptian food served as if you are at home Very nice Prices are very good
My meal at Al Masry was one of the best Egyptian meals I had in Egypt. The service was good, considering the fact I went for lunch before they were open, and they still decided to serve me. The food was plentiful and very good.
The area around the street wasn't very lit up when we found it at night, but the place is and has a yesteryear vibe to it as it has a lot of history behind it. The waiter was upbeat and smiling which is alway nice. The menu however was lacking, design and layout wise, could have been simpler and there... More
W asked for a recommendation from our hotel and they recommended this restaurant. They told us how to get to this restaurant so did not really had a trouble finding this place. My son ordered for a barbecued pigeon and we ordered for chicken. Oh boy, they provided with plenty of salads before then. We felt like had full just... More
I had dinner at "Al Masry" restaurant during my business visit to Aswan. The restaurant has very basic setting yet very clean, it serves authentic Egyptian grills that are both tasty and clean.I recommend meat over chicken and pigeons.I had lamp shops and shish Kebab "kofta"; they were both tasty and grilled to perfection.Al Masry also seves nice local salads... Suffice to say this is the place for those who like to try Egyptian cuisine at its best. Good set menu, prompt service, reasonably priced (for 4 we paid LE234). Impressive salad/ dip selection prior to main course. We loved especially delicious tomato/onion salad as it had a full flavor of sunny blessed rip tomatoes (something which reminded us of... More
Al Masry is a good restaurant located near to the Corniche and the souk. There you can find local food, as Egyptian people would like, not something only for tourists. Good value for money. Friendly waiters.
We all loved this restaurant which is in a back street behind the souk and ate here every night of our stay in Aswan (boring but true!). When you order they bring you various dips, salads and side dishes as a matter of course and chips for the kids. Fantastic value and very tasty. Superfriendly waiters. And they even have... More
Al Masry is not the easiest place to find, it's just about 50 yards east of the Souk Street, up the road crossing the centre of the souk from the Corniche. The food is great and the service is good too. Great value food and really high quality. It's good to get off the high tourist track and relax into... More
if you want good food and to enjoy dinner among the locals, you will enjoy Al Masry. Our tour guide recommended this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. All the grilled meats, (chicken, lamb) are good. Our friend had the roasted pigeon (not my cup of tea)and enjoyed it. Dinners come with rice, salad, and dips. The pita is warm too.... More
