The food was FANTASTIC, great menu, all cooked fresh , and so very tasty, good value for money, (we had starter, main course, no room left for sweet) the atmospher is really good, not... more

I have visited Luxor every year for over 20 years. I visited the Puddleduck soon after it opened earler this year. The food was fantastic, the menu very varied and imaginative and the front of house service second to none. I have just returned from my second visit of the year - this time just for one week - and... more

We decided to have a meal at Puddleduck even though we were half board at the Nile Palace. We had a lovely meal and found the service very good. The suuroundings were lovely as the restaurant wasn't very big we felt that we were recieving individual attention even though there were others in the restaurant. Thanks for an enjoyable evening... more

My husband and I visited Puddleduck just once on our week long visit to Luxor and when we arrived we met a couple outside who told us that they had tried 3 times to get a table there as they had heard good things about it. The owner was very friendly and although the restaurant is small as we were... more

For me what makes this restaurant stand out from the many others in Luxor is the QUALITY, not just of the food but also of the service and the lovely relaxed atmosphere. We ate here on numerous occassions during our recent holiday and were never disappointed. Many thanks not just to the front of house staff but also to those... more

Visited here twice on our stay. The food was good, good portions and cheescake very nice. The second time we visited I'd had an upset tummy since that afternoon and so only ate about half of my meal. The lady who owns Puddlesucks came to check if everything was ok with my meal even though the waiter had taken it... more

Food ok but not exciting, had vegetable tagine but don't think it had seen any spices before came to table. Friend had chicken tagine which also lacked any real flavour.Think this restaurant more suited to English who just want to stick to same old food that they could get at home. more

Management response from

Thank you for your comments. For clarification the food you had, whether meat or vegetarian, was a Moroccan tagine and not the traditional Egyptian tagine, which I believe you are referring to when you comment about "lack of spices". The Moroccan tagine is clearly described on the menu as having sweet spices and dates - we use ginger, saffron, paprika...
