We went here for an impromptu dinner one Saturday evening, and boy weren't we happy we went. I had the salmon and mashed potatoes and my partner had the steak with steamed rice. The food here is fresh and simple but amazing. My salmon was...fresh and tasty and the mashed potatoes was creamy and soft. My partner absolutely loved his food as well. The ambiance is homely, private and quiet. I loved it here and will visit here again and give recommendations to my network.More
We have been visiting the restaurant over the years and watching its decline with some regret. On our most recent visit the chicken escalope was good but the T-bone steak was incredibly tough and virtually inedible. The potato gratin that we ordered as a side...dish had perhaps been cooked earlier and reheated. In any case the white sauce was lumpy. The redeeming feature was the service which was very good. This is a quiet restaurant in a building with serviced apartments. If you're staying in one of those apartments, a visit might be worth it simply because of the convenience. If on the other hand you have to drive, you could consider going elsewhere instead.More
I've always popped in here for business, but decided to stop by for lunch with a friend. It's a charming little restaurant with vibrant staff and cozy decor. I sat by the terrace for it was a lovely sunny afternoon. I had the grilled prawns...with garlic butter and fries, and I must say it was quite good. Great place for a date or an intimate dinner.More
This restaurant was an establishment .No visit to Kenya was complete without a meal at the Bistro which used to be down down. The old Mzee was a character who's charm or mood set the place aside from others. The Food was good hence the slogan"The Bistro...is small but very very good".Now a former shadow of itself set in a glum setting and boring food.Wait staff are not motivated. The place needs to be managed better and the food supervised expertly..Does little to impress. It was opened at independence and was a favourite with many many famous people. This is truly a sad place now.More
Last ate at Alan's in 1988, when working for BT Teletrade. Always remember the calamari was to die for. Great gastronomic memories. 😎🤣
We decided to go to Alan Bobbes while in the office around 6pm, called them, made a reservation and had the most pleasant evening with the most amazing menu choices and meal we could dream of. The taste, the helping and the special treatment on...Valentines Day made it the most memorable evening for my husband and I.More
Its always a pleasure coming back to Alan Bobbies Bistro. The ambience is great especially for dinner. The food is great, with a variety to choose from. The service in this restaurant is wanting... something should be done very soon.. The The high staff turnover,...is rather sad. Wait a minute, i don't even know who the manager is anymore.More
The food is good and there is a good variety. Unfortunately the service is according on who is working, some are very good and some waiters dont even knoe youre there.
Since the previous manager, Christian left, the quality of food has unfortunately gone down. It used to be our favorite restaurant at one time.
Not impressive. Considering its location at the end of Rapta Road the establishment needs to do a lot more on its menu, standard of food and the service style before I would recommend visiting. Shame as it is a good location. I would summarise my...views as: functional but not much more. Breakfast is not good value for money considering the cost and what us on offer. The staff need to take an interest in their customers.More
This restaurant is q major eatery place in Nairobi especially for the corporate and expatriates. We were here twice in ( days we stayed in Nairobi and we were amused by the level of consistency they keep. Highly recommended
This is a breakfast you could get anywhere, or make yourself if you have 20 minutes. Nothing wrong with it, and nothing right about it either. Unless you happen to have woken up in a bed above this place, there is no good reason to...come here (no comment on other meals offered, just had the buyers remorse breakfast here).More
Nice place next to Prideinn Raphta, good food, quality service and excelent environment for dinning. It is easy to locate towards the end of Raphta road. We enjoyed our diner experience
This restaurant was very bad. I have been going their since my first date and enjoying the fantastic Onion Soup and the Petit Pot Du Creme Au Chocolat. There was nothing worth putting a second fork or spoon in. This restaurant will probably close down...in no timeMore
