I've been to two locations of Dadong, and really was impressed with the Jinbao St one, although the food was absolutely delicious at both places. The Jinbao St restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, with the ducks being roasted right at the front entrance of the restaurant. All of the food is beautifully presented and of course, delicious. Dadong's is hard to find & even some cab drivers don't know where it is (it took us 2 nights to find it). It will take you a while to browse through the impressive menu which is more like a book with stunning photography of all dishes. The food was great. Loved the duck, enjoyed the chicken with the sweet sauce, the beef and green onion stir fry, and the frozen persimmon. The only drawback? Only one western toilet in the ladies room. Yikes! Even my Chinese mother-in-law is incensed by that. more

Dadong roast duck is ok for me. If you like "skinny" roast duck and you like "healthy". This roast duck is for you. more
