You are served your meal on a banana leaf, and according to friends there is etiquette to this, the way you fold your leaf after you have finished indicates if you have enjoyed your meal or not. We were expecting it to be a South Indian vegetarian restaurant. Though the South Indian Thali dish was featured on the menu, it was not available. Food was mostly North Indian - if one can call it. may be in detroit, our indian food isnt as good....but this restaurant had the absolute best chicken tandori and i thought the food was excellent. best meal of whole trip. service isnt great and place isnt fancy but I would go back there in a flash. Food is generally okay - nothing fantastic. The only outstanding dish was the curry fishhead. Service can be chaotic - so many waiters hovering around you but none seem to really understand what it is you need! It is not the cheapest place to eat curry fishhead. There are many other cheaper and better options in the area. more

The food was good. But service was poor. A Singapore Indian friend of mine recommended it for the fish head curry. Unfortunately I did not try this. But the courses we tried were between average and good. Nothing was great. And the staff were just plain unfriendly. I guess they treat my Singapore friend better though... more
