The food was good. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and wished I had ordered it as my entree. That was the best part of the meal. Otherwise, salads are average, the entrees we had were average, and the chocolate cake for dessert was huge, but nothing special. The atmosphere was definitly laid back and casual. This was probaly the... more

Visited Galway Bay and just feel in love with this place. Staff was excellent and the crab cakes were the best my husband ever had. I hate sea food , so I had the shepard pie (which I never had before) and it was fantastic. A true pub experience. Priced reasonable. more

We spent a weekend in Annapolis and got in really late on Friday so we ate at Galway Bay because it was still open and a short walk from our B&B. What a wonderful surprise it was. The food was GREAT, especially the crabcakes; they were by the far the best we've ever had. The ambiance was perfect for an... more

Go figure...an Irish pub that knows how to fry oysters and make great crab cakes.....If we had not been to Hell Kitchen the night before I would have said the cakes at Galway were the best! Go early...try the oysters for 1/2price...then go back for dinner! more

We had just finished a two-hour guided walking tour and needed a place to eat. We asked our guide as she was leaving us for her recommendations. Her recommendation to eat at Galway Bay was a hit on several levels. One, it was in a great little part of town (and away from all of the excesses of the harbor... more

YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM!!! I don't want to think about how many calories I have consumed, but between the seven of us, we all got something different and we all shared it... chicken cashel blue (oooohhhh), fish and chips (crispy and delightful), shepherds pie (soooo traditional), a reuben sandwich (omg... this was something we ordered another of on the... more

We were looking for good crab cakes in Annapolis. Two people at the Visitor Center (at separate times) recommended Galway Bay as a place they eat. So we thought we would give it a try. The menu is extensive and full of Irish standard fare, much of it with a local twist. We asked the server whether she could recommend... more

Don't go here often, but it has a wonderful atmosphere and a great menu. Most restaurants in Annapolis have good service and good food, and this one stands out above the average. I am more familiar with their sister restaurant, Killarney House, but I think I prefer Galway Bay. No parking lot, but it's worth finding a lot and walking... more

The first time I went to Galway Bay I had great food (especially the Jameson Whiskey Soup) and service. I have been to three out of the four restaurants. (Killarney House being the Best!) The second visit the soup had too much vinegar or something in it and it tasted horrible. It made me sick. My friend, daughter and I... more

TWO THUMPS UP! Beginning with the atmosphere a comfortable, friendly setting even if you dine alone. The service is excellently done with experienced and knowlegeable servers. A fine selection of beer and alcoholic beverages and accomodating to those who prefer non alcoholic drinks. And then to the very best part, the food! Always consistent over the numnerous times I have... more
