This place is rightly popular, with a great formula to win over travellers fed up with bland tourist food served in so many places. The menu features a little bit from all over the world although the mexican style offerings seem to be the most popular and my fajitas were yum yum. The Black Cat Bistro is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact the only place where they serve freshly made food and it's very good and not expensive. Service is very good, people are very kind and humorous! :) more

We had yummy quesadillas and an excellent taco salad here. Lots of other dishes on tzhe menu looked tempting too. Service was quick and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommended. more

We'd been in Croatia for about 10 days by the time we turned up in Split, and we were thrilled with the change from pizza and pasta! The taco salad was fresh and good - it did in fact taste like TexMex - and the cocktails were also yummy. more

We went to the Black Cat Bistro in search of food that wasn't croatian! We started with a ceasar salad, followed by quesadillas and chicken curry, then chocolate brownie and ice cream. great little place, food was superb and the service was happy and quick. We ate here about 4 times or so whilst in Split twice for breakfast which was always yummy. Would defo go back!! more

Excellent and varied cuisine, a great break from the (often splendid but a narrow range of generally fish-based) dishes of the Dalmatian coast. Terrific quesadillas. Menu includes curries and inventive salads. Small but interesting wine list. Nice, cool terrace for outside dining. Highly recommended. more
