Lived in Ann Arbor many, many years. The Parthenon has the BEST GYROS SANDWICH that I have ever tasted! Man, I wish I had one now! more

I have frequented this place since I was a child and over the years it has just gotten better and better. Definately the best greek food around. I would highly recommend the gyro platter and the calamari. Very good service and the atmosphere is charming. (A huge change from the cafeteria system they had in the seventies.) The parthenon is a long time ann arbor establishment. The food is solid Greek, but nothing exceptional. The decor is uninspiring and the wait staff not particularly well trained. Forget about a wine list. If you want a gyros, it is good. If you want moussaka it is ok. If you want a really good meal as you can get... more
