Have had lunch at Cafe Wayan, Ubud on two visits 4 years apart and would rate as equal to any local dishes on any of our 3 trips. Booked the Cooking Class which is also good although there is no market visit as part of this class (which i would haveliked) but extremely good value.

We've been here 10 years before and the food was great then. Some things didn't change. I love the garden setting and the friendly though not pushy staff. I had the Nasi Goreng with seafood and did not realize that this would be the best Indonesian meal that I would have on my trip. The non-alcoholic drinks were great. Would... More

Came here one evening for dinner, lots of options on the menu which is always good. I ordered the vegetarian Nasi cumpur which was nice, the Balinese curry part being the stand out of the dish, left me wanting more and left a lot to be desired for the other elements. Beautiful location and very nicely laid out, can eat... More

Went here a couple of times whilst in Ubud. Had read the good reviews and it lived up to its rep! Everything was yummy from the stuff crab, to the duck and the milkshakes! The cheesecake is the best I've ever had and that's saying something as I've sampled quite a few slices in my time! Staff really friendly and... More

We ate here twice over our 24-day tour around Indonesia. The first meal was superb, but the beef on my Satay was a bit bristly and the chicken a bit over-cooked on our second visit. The service was outstanding both times!

A large group of us (11 people) showed up on Mother's Day for dinner without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious and the tables are dispersed throughout their beautifully kept gardens. They had both cushions and chairs to sit on and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing. The menu covered Western, Indonesian... More

The facade at the front of this restaurant doesn't do it justice because as you venture further inside you discover a spacious tropical garden paradise with tables conveniently located throughout. The menu was comprehensive with most dishes sounding delicious. I had the special of the day (chicken stir fry) and my wife had the chicken nasi campur. Both dishes were... More

Café Wayan is dependably well kept and well-staffed with food you can rely on for taste and quality. I doubt you could easily find a dish here that isn't done right. It is really quite a spacious place with plenty of capacity for diners, but laid out so it has a more intimate feel..The gardens have some very charming niches... More

We had the best food in Bali so far after 4 days. We ordered Nasi Campur, chicken satay with rice and a potato oleh. All was very declicious, well presented and of good portion. We've had Nasi Campur almost everyday, and Cafe Wayna's was the best! We went there for dinner, and it was very atmaspheric sitting there with the... More

Since this restaurant is so famous, appearing in many guidebooks, I thought first it would be very touristic. Yes, this restaurant is a for foreigners (more than half of the customers were Japanese when we were there), yet I was very happy to have a dinner there after all. The place is huge! The atmosphere is very nice. You should... More
