This restaurant was recommended to us by a local resident. The host and hostess were very friendly and gracious, the food and wine were excellent. It had an intimate and elegant atmosphere without being stuffy and pretentious. more

Small family-owned restaurant. Menu features dishes from Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. Excellent veal and salmon. Simple but very good desserts made on the premises. Best food for the money anywhere in the area. more

Just how many pizza places and burger and brew joints can a small tourist town take on before enough is enough !!? The introduction of " Das Village Haus" stops that vicious cycle in it's path . I have a place on the river that I am remodeling , and I came up one weekend eager to start my project.... more

We spent the day in Alexandria Bay on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. After a boat tour of the islands and local castles, we promised our 12 year old daughter that she could select the restaurant for dinner. She had her heart and tastebuds set on salmon.
