Under new management, this place is humming with Quiz nights, roast dinners and fun company and food.
I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it did not rock my world. We had the penne dish and grilled cheese sandwich and both were just OK. Nothing bad but nothing special either. Service was really slow the night that I went. I think there are better options in Hoi An...
Went here for the pubquiz last Wednesday, and had a blast! Simon and Chung are superfriendly, the crowd was relaxed, and my favorite beer - Huda thats not available in any other Hoi An bar as far as I know - was ice cold. The snacks were really tasty and made me want to order much more. Definitely a recommendation!
As other people have stated this is a hidden gem. We wandered in there this afternoon for a drink and ordered an iced coffee. It is the best we have had since being in Vietnam. We decided to go back this evening for dinner and was amazed. The variety of the menu was great and we opted for Vietnamese food... More
Thoug the main entrance may put you off, food is excellent. Best mango smoothie ever. If you are really into vietnamese food, this is your place.

I've been studying in Hoi An for three months, and Viet Lac is definitely my favourite restaurant. Everything is very clean and the service is great, not to mention the amazing food. I would highly recommend the Carbonara (only $5), the Herb Roasted Chicken Breast, the Sesame Crusted White Tuna With Wasabi Sauce and both the Mediterraniian and the Ceasar... More

The food is good, arrives hot and mostly at the right time (which is saying something for Hoi An restaurants). Viet... More
