A lovely little place. We ate there several times. Nothing elaborate about the food (except perhaps pastilla which we did not have). Good soup, nice salads. Short menu of the usual kind of stuff + the occasional exotic (camel). Home made pasta. Delicate home made desserts. Portions modest, but adequate. Highly recommended. more

Our first night in Essaouira we ate here, so disappointing! We each had the Moroccan speciality, pastilla which sounded delicious in our guide book, what was served up to us was dry, poorly presented and overpriced. Save your money and head to Samarkand for European food and M'riste Jouhar for Moroccan, the pastilla there was to die for! more

If you have a hankering for Moroccan cuisine with a decidedly French accent, this is the place to go. Prices are reasonable but don't expect abundance. Real estate agents would call the dining room cozy. The ambiance could be improved considerably by losing the flourescent bulbs and bouncing a few halogens off the high cieling.
