Fantastic food - steak, gnocchi and ravioli in particular excellent, and great value for money. Good Moroccan wine very reasonably priced. Lovely room as well - brilliant collection of vintage furniture and decorations, and a really relaxed atmosphere. Service was friendly without being over-bearing - owner is a great guy, and we really enjoyed talking to him. We liked the... more

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Essaouria. It is essentially an Italian restaurant -- and quite an innovative one -- with some Moroccan dishes thrown in. The menu contains a relatively small number of items done well, rather than a whole bunch of items without character as if often the case elsewhere. From the starters to the... more

Great artistic and warm surrounding. The owner is a friendly and warm person who will take time to tell about his place and menu. The wines are very fine (try the moroccan wines!!!!!) and the food is fresh, well flavoured and cooked the right way. Also the presentation is very well. The steak is top-quality and -believe it or not-... more

Like the previous reviewer we too sampled the Balsmic steak, which was huge! We also had the cuttlefish risotto, chicken and gnocchi to name a few..............all excellent along with the red and white wine!!!! The service was excellent and the owner was very informative about his wild collection of memorabelia from decades gone by and although we had to listen... more

This restaurant initially looks like a record shop in an Austin Powers movie and is a great vibe for a restaurant. Lots of old 60s and 70s ashtrays, pictures, lamps, records etyc all over the place. Food is really, really good and I recommend the balsamic steak! superb. Overall, a really great place for a meal. A few small points... more

This is just an amazing place. It seems it is getting discovered, so you have to book. Also note that it is closed for the first four days of each month as the owner gives himself just the tiniest of breaks. The "resturant" - more like a home - is funky, funky, funky. It is full of 60s and 70s... more

The food was pretty good; portions could have been a bit bigger. It was basically fancier version of food you can get in other restaurants. What is cool about this restaurant is the place – it’s like a museum of funky retro furniture and ornaments – very different and unexpected. I could see how some people might have problems with... more

What a cool joint. Just how you want it to be; up a dark alley into a the 1970's; more of a post war and contemporary design show then a fab restaurant but the food doesnt disappoint. Service is a but disjointed but go their with a laid back attitude; chat to the groovy owner a bit and enjoy the... more

This is a most unexpectedly delicious restaurant. We went the first night we were in Essaouira and had to go back our second night in town. The filet of beef was one of the best pieces of beef I have ever had. I also had the lamb tagine for my other meal. My partner had the chicken tagine and it... more
