Fireflies is a great little neighborhood restaurant. A good place for lunch or dinner but fantastic for brunch if you like live bluegrass music. A few negatives, though - it's a smallish place so you'll have to wait a while during Sunday brunch, and the brunch menu is small (but good!) and a bit overpriced. more

I went after their "Grand Reopening" The place is terrible now. the entire indoor dining room is smoky and the kitchen exhaust seems to go straight into the north end of the room. I ordered the sun dried tomato pesto pasta and it was almost inedible (and over $15 for veggie pasta). It tasted like a can of tomato paste.... more

Red white and green pizza with goat cheese is the best thing on the menu. Good for kids. more

Really great soups and sandwiches. (Try the butternut squash soup...RIDICULOUSLY delicious!) It's a bit pricey, but very charming and tasty. more

This is a great little restaurant in Del Ray. The food is WAY overpriced, especially the dinner entrees. They have a happy hour from 3-6:30pm with great specials on wine and appetizers. Their bread is delicious and their potato salad is to-die-for. I don't think we'll go back, unless its for happy hour. more

This is one of our favorite places to eat - easy, laid back, but really great food and good selection. Their sandwiches are wonderful - good bread, meats, etc. Woodfired pizza is better than anywhere else around here. I have been to Fireflies in Alexandria on more than several occasions and have had a great time. The food is always so fresh and seasonal.
