If you are used to eating a vera pizza napoletana, you will have a hard time in Brazil. Pizza in Brazil has a life of its own. But the pizza they serve at Avenida Paulista is a good pizza.
Great Service and delicious pasta. Price is very affordable as well. Thought the atmosphere was inviting as well. One of a few resturants open downtown Sunday night.
Service is highly accommodating especially the Maitre'D and the Chef Valdimir. The location is central. The room is highly impressive with massive ceiling, big pizza oven, chefs cooking in full view, bar and spaces between tables. Pizzas are some of the BEST I have eaten including the Escarole special. Everything is facade here - from the "candles" to the "ovens". And the "pizza" is just melted cheese on bread. The photos on the menu give an entirely different picture. The best part was a basket of pizza crisps - free.
The interior of this place is fantastic. It feels like a classically restored old church almost. Super high ceiling, it is all red brick with wooden bar and staircase. In have nothing positive things to say about Av Paulista. My wife have been coming here for over 4 years for birthdays, family visits, anniversaries, and just about any time we can make an excuse to come.
