Nice location, good spacious restaurant, service with a smile and nice English breakfast, will come again.
i recently visited farang connection to rent a motorbike because i wanted to go to the elephant sanctuary about 50 km away. i was not disappointed with the service and friendly staff that guided me through a map and gave me some pointers on what else to see, though i WAS disappointed with seeing the elephants in chains (that is... Last time I was in Surin I headed for one of my favourite places The Farang Connection ( I have been many times ). I heard then of the sad passing of the owner. He was an ace guy. The breakfast for me was still very good but I sorely missed his precence. RIP
I previously gave this place a 4 star review, but unfortunately this place has gone downhill quicker than an Olympic skier. If you like frozen pie and chips then you might like this place, otherwise give it a swerve. They apparently have a 2 tier price structure for the beer. Local farang pay less. Centrally located, this place has excellent western food, priced according to it's good quality. Drinks are quite reasonable. An excellent hangout for foreigners in Surin, I made several friends in my brief time there. The breakfast is particulary good -- especially the bacon and the hash browns.
Good place to meet local farangs food quite basic but decent quality and price, cenrally located near the bus station
Service was friendly. Food was average. Restaurant was clean. We would eat or drink here again. Location is very central

Let me say right off that when the cockroaches present in the kitchen won't even eat there you have to know something is amiss. I never realized just how bad the health issues were in the kitchen until I had a look in there myself as when I arrived for a meal there was no one about so I took... More
