We went out looking for shrimp without a long wait, and found it at the Gulf Shores Steamer. It wasn't anything fancy, but the food was good, and they have lots of outdoor seating. They mean it when they say everything is steamed though. If you want fried food, look somewhere else. more

We have been vacationing in this area for years. This is by far the best place to eat in the whole area. Mainly lunch - not so much for dinner. The shrimp is to die for (Royal Reds). Beer just washes it down and the service, what can I say but true southern hospitality more

Three grown men got their eat on for under $50. Not sure how many pounds of shrimp we ate (Mississippii Red), lots of crab legs, oysters, and mussels. What a deal. Nice change from the norm of fried food down here. Give it a try. more

We had dinner last night at Gulf Shores Steamer. My husband had the Reds, I had a crab cake sandwich and we shared a dozen oysters. The oysters were small and wilted (for lack of a better word).
