Tender meat, nice smoky flavor, sweet or savory sauce. We were stuffed when we left, loaded up on the meat, hardly touched the sides. The place is in a residential neighborhood, small, funky renovated home with wheel chair ramp in front. There is a sign out front with a small smoking grill but not well lighted. Just ate at Brick Pit and it might be the best pulled pork I've ever had. The sauce is delicious and I only wish they bottled and sold it. This is a can't miss place if in the Mobile-area for BBQ lovers! more

good Q although sometimes they skimp on the portions at lunch and it can be crowded. I've had better ribs (I lived in Memphis for 12 years so I'm a rib snob) and there are much better ones out there. Their sauce is just ok too, somewhat pungent--and not in a good way--for my taste. more

Hands down the best BBQ restaurant in the South... much less Mobile. Forget Dreamland. Their pulled pork is hand pulled from the bone- not ground up mush. highly-highly recommend more

You know, if the BBQ were really good, you could overlook that this place is a dump.... I'm not bothered by people writing on the walls and ceilings, but the fact that they're about to fall down is another matter. I had the ribs ( "the pork's not tender" I was told when I ordered the pulled pork), and, true,... more

Like most top-line BBQ in the Southeast, you would never guess this great BBQ would come from such a place. Totally unimpressive as a building, completely lacking the "feel" of the chain rest. that choke most cities. The Brick Pit is a very strong above average in a field crowded by cookie cutters. Prices are pretty reasonable for BBQ. more
