Ate at El Sombrero the first week of August, 2009. Stopped in for lunch and had a great lunch of halibut jajitas that were tasty and served fast and hot. Plenty to share for the two of us for lunch. No complaints! more

I absolutely love going to this place. Their Mama's Burrito is outstanding, and they refill your chips and salsa free of charge. The service is almost always fast and friendly, except when it's extremely busy, but then it's understandable. more

We went to El Sombrero for lunch, looking for good Mexican food. Unfortunately, the food was a bit bland and overused sauces instead of relying on flavour of the foods. The prices were in line with other Mexican restaurants around the US, but the flavour was not. Of course, there aren't really any other choices for Mexican in Juneau. more

Our table waiter was great. I ordered a combinations plate of cheese enchalida and a taco that was served with beans and rice how can anyone go wrong with this order. Beside the faithful taste of a Negra Modelo, I really didn't find much remarkable about this place. Granted, I had a taco salad, which is hardly authentic. I will try again, but bad Mexican food....it's better to take a stab at it at home. That, I can do! more

El Sombrero is a great Mexican restaurant. The jalepena dressing is wonderful. The Fajita salad had the best ingredients. All the dishes we ate were fresh and well made. more
