Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After waiting a long time for food. We inquired about it. The waitress FORGOT to put in our order. She offered no apology and had the audacity to be rude to us!!! We walked out. This place is a joke!

Food was fantastic and the service was great. It was really busy as we were there on a Saturday morning. So, it took a little while to get the food. But it was worth the wait . Try it out!

We traveled from the Boulders resort for breakfast at this little hole in the wall. No frills and cash only but you won't be dissapointed with the quality of the food or the portion sizes.

They only accept CASH, but it is worth every dime. The food excellent and affordably priced. Service exceptional. At first glance, you tend to do a second take. Don't confuse the rustic charm with "dirty". Nothing special about this place other than the FOOD, PRICES...and SERVICE!! We dropped in on our way to the Rancho Manana Resort.More

Dumpy would describe Wagon Wheel but its a dump that serves great food at low prices. The most local of the locals eat here and there's a reason why. The front and outside seating areas are just the beginning as there is more seating in...the back. I liked the Wagon Wheel because it is totally different than any other place in Cave Creek and the food is great.More

This no-frills restaurant is what you would expect in a small town. A small seating area indoors (larger as it extends to the back), a screened in outdoor patio, and a place to tie up your horse (not uncommon in Cave Creek). The food is...exactly what is stated in the menu, simple and delicious and a great price. The staff is friendly and direct. They only take cash and are open for breakfast and lunch (they close at 1p).More

Great find for breakfast in Cave Creek. Exterior is a bit shabby but this is not reflected in the food or service. We were staying in a rental home close by and this cafe served us well for early morning breakfast before setting out for...the day.More

This place looks like it could use a good cleaning and a coat of paint, but they make great classic breakfast and serve the bottomless cup of coffee. LOVE their french toast!

Although it's not easy to spot from Cave Creek Road, the Wagon Wheel has a very good and inexpensive array of breakfast choices. I had the two eggs with bacon, biscuit and gravy and my companion had corned beef hash, eggs over easy and toast....Both choices were yummy and the weather was perfect to sit outside on the patio.More

Looks like a dump...torn screen door..needs paint....but locals love it that way. Lots of eggs in those huge omelets, huge pancakes and lunch items too. open 6 AM to 2 PM only. Food is tasty, service is friendly and insiders and locals go 2 X...a week. Cash only!More

We rarely miss a Sunday breakfast at the Wagon Wheel. Very good food, friendly service, great coffee and very fair pricing. Bring cash - they do not accept credit cards. Open for breakfast and lunch. Far from fine dining, so foodies and snobs need not...attend. If you like friendly people, good food and great prices, come join usMore

When I lived in Cave Creek, I ate at this little cafe a few times a week. This is a down home place with down home food. The best priced breakfast in the area. The only weak spot on the menu is the coffee. If...you are picky about your coffee, bring a flavored creamer. To each his own. If you want to meet locals, this is one of the places to do that. Dick Van Dyke and his brother used to eat at this place every day. It has a lot of history. Go for a good breakfast, or a simple lunch. They close early, so don't delay. The owners are Jim and Diane. Jim is the main cook and looks every inch the old West wagon train cook. Diane is there to anchor the place and became a good friend. My favorite waitress is Meghan. She has a glowing smile and makes you feel like family. Missing this place so much. It isn't fancy, but it is an important part of Cave Creek.More
