We had breakfast here. It was good, but not earth shattering. Some very interesting items on the menu, so it is worth going, but don't expect fireworks.
we had wonderful food here. my husband had the chicken livers piri piri, quite good. the servers were very friendly, and on the ball. i love the fact goncalo's is in a great little outdoor mall. great shops there!! beautiful surroundings!
Old Nick is an old established stop over for travelers going to or from Port Elizabeth. One of the variety of small shops is the Sao Goncalo Kitchen. My wife and I make for this venue for one of their filling breakfasts and freshly baked bread and pastries. It is good value, the staff and service are top class under... More
I was most impressed with this restaurant. We had excellent service from our waiter and the food was wonderful. It's not often that a chicken schnitzel is moist and flavoursome. Prices are very reasonable with meals starting from R55. Good sized portions as well. We'll definitely go there again.
Don't expect haute cuisine and you will enjoy it. However, skip the cappuccinos. Breakfasts are so reasonable. Fire in winter and staff very helpful. Bakery very popular but again, don't expect the wow factor.
Sao Concalo's positioned outside Plettenberg Bay at the Old Nick's complex is undoubtedly our favourite refreshment stop on the Garden Route. The food is consistently good, well prepared and presented by well trained staff. We will always return.
We stopped off here for some lunch whilst in Plettenburg and enjoyed all our toasted sandwiches which were huge. The lime milkshakes were a favourite with us all and the waitresses were friendly.
I like the food here, always good and the bakery has such variety! Waiter service is bad, but the setting makes up for it...
Such a nice venue - lovely gardens. Melumzi/Nelson is always friendly and attentive. Struggled to decide between all the deletectable baked goods and ended up having custard slices (fresh and yummy) and no doubt, definitely one of the best cappuccino spots!
Went here for a lovely quick breakfast. Took family for breakfast and it was good value for money. Took the cheap breakfast each, and got more than we expected. Lovely setting with seating under trees and nice look out onto the garden of Old Nick's Village.
