Been visiting Cape Town regularly for over ten years and Savoy Cabbage was an early find. Other fine dining places have been and gone or gone distinctly "off the boil" but Savoy Cabbage remains consistently good and reliable. The service is outstanding, educated, bright young staff who have been well trained and managed. One chef change in 11 years I... more

After reading good reviews we spent an evening at Savoy Cabbage but were very disappointed. Service was good but food was poor. The butternut and feta starter was overdone and tastless, the lamb dry with little sauce. I asked for more sauce which they kindly supplied but charged me for! Never in all my fine dining around the world has... more

i loved the food at Savoy Cabbage.I had guinea fowl which is very difficulat to prepare as it has a very strong gamey flavor.Nonetheless it was excellent as was the appetizer. The service was superb, and I thoroughly enjoyed the unique ambiance. Thus I couldn't recommend Savoy Cabbage more. more

My husband and I went to dinner at Savoy Cabbage one night in Cape Town, and we though the food, staff and decor were wonderful. I ate the risotto, and my husband has kudu (his new favorite meat), and we both loved our meals. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to get away from the touristy restaurants at... more

This restuarant was recommended by a friend and how glad were we as it wasn't one on our original list to eat in during our 3 night stay in Capetown. We arrived bit early and once they found out we were on our honeymoon, we were presented with complimentary glass of champagne. Food and wine was amazing. My husband had... more

This restaurant is a culinary experience not be missed! The restaurant designed in an old factory, complimented by glass, brick and metal is chic and yet comfortable. The walls are adorned with paintings that intrigue and delight (the artist passed away two weeks ago, a day before our dinner)and are for sale. BEST of all is the amazing local temptations... more

My brother took us here to celebrate our Pearl wedding anniversary while we were in Cape Town on holiday. We had an amazing evening, perfect in every way. Our host, Franck, greeted us with charm and genuine warmth. The restaurant decor is stylish - industrial chic, all exposed brickwork and chrome pipes. The menu was exciting with imaginative combinations of... more

Savoy Cabbage came highly recommended so we booked while still in the States to make sure we got a seat! Apparently, the tomato tart was listed by the New York Times as one of the top 100 things to eat before you die. So we had some high expectations. Despite its fusty British-sounding name, the ambience of the restaurant is... more
