We went there in November 2013, but despite the sign being there the restaurant is now shut, and apparently for good as the owner moved to Europe
My family and I were traveling on Hwy 62 to the east from Cape Town and we stopped and spent the night in Oudtshoorn. The owner of the B&B recommended several restaurants in town but said that Klinka was the best. We were fortunate that they had a table for four and in a very nice outdoor setting. We all... More
Our guesthouse owner organised for the owner of Kalinka to pick us up! So we started the evening thoroughly spoilt it did not end there aperitifs in the bar and then a fabulous meal / great wine all made for a lovely evening. Could not fault it.
Kalinka is a romantic place to dine with an eclectic menu of local and exotic foods, such as ostrich kebabs.

Wow, what an amazing experience! The food was wonderful, the service prompt and friendly and the atmosphere cosy and intimate. The ostrich fillet was soft and tender and the dessert chocolate fondant was out of this world! I recommend it to everyone! I just wouldn't be able to pass through Oudshoorn again without stopping for a meal at Kalinka's. Thank... More
Service excellent, efficient and helpful. Food smart, interesting, well presented but just lacked something. Don't be put off this is still a top restaurant!
